For me this captured the flight of a snowflake, which I thought was magical and on point for the prompt. When the beat comes in the snowflake lands in a metropolitan area and becomes cool.
The words free and snowing come in to my mind. I like it and enjoyed the transition between the two parts! I'm still amazed by the complexity and lightness of the first part. I really really enjoyed it
i love it when winter tracks embrace these big, open, broken chords. for some reason, icy hollows and a sense of mystery work really well together. this works so well as an area theme that i expected it to loop
You guys, I didn't expect this to be this well received, thank you so much for the feedback!! it's absurd how perfectly you all absolutely nailed what I was going for. I ADORE all of these interpretations. I'm really happy you liked it and also you guys are just so nice. Thank you. < 3
On a personal note, I think this format really brings out the community part of Gravity Break Media. What I think is that we all usually tend to shy away from saying what's on our mind about an art piece we enjoyed, perhaps even thinking that our comments might not be appreciated, or we simply are not used to commenting consistently, which is completely fair and all, but can I just say that, personally, it completely changes the way I look at my own music and art, and I'd imagine that kind of thing is a good part of growing up and becoming an artist. While any artist has their own visions about what they want their art to be or become, or what they see in their past art, I'm willing to bet that basically any artist would love reading people's various comments on it. Or at least I love that. All it takes is 2 rows of text, and basically my day, no, my week is made. I feel like it makes us connect on a deeper level, somehow, over any piece of art. Is that cheesy? Sorry, it's probably the cold weather. X3
Btw, what are the odds, that the day this battle started was THE only day in the last year (so far) in which it decided to snow where I live, hahaha~
Come to think of it, that definitely helped me write this too.
Anyway sorry for the long post, I just wanted to take a moment and think out loud (..."out written"?). Again, thank you all and while I'm at it, I hope you're having a nice Winter < 3
